Hollywood on the Gold Coast...or not
We headed up to the Gold Coast for the long weekend and personally I think that place is highly overrated. No offence to anyone who may live there, but I would take Sydney or Melbourne above there any day. The beaches were nice and I'm sure they're fantastic in the summer, but it was just missing that certain quality that left my rad-o-meter on unimpressed.
Still, we had a fun time visiting the amusement parks and getting the shit scared out of us on the rides. I must say that Lethal Weapon and the Scooby Doo Spooky coaster at Movie World did shift my rad-o-meter from schmeh to uber rad (despite me getting the mother of all bruises on my thigh after riding on Lethal Weapon).
One thing I did notice though was the large number of Condom Kingdoms on the main strip at Surfer's Paradise, there was like 4 of them. But I’m guessing with the schoolies crew that comes through there every year they’d need that many.
Ear Candy: "Accidentally in Love" -- Counting Crows
How embarassing
You know that scene in the begining of Crossroads where Britney is dancing and singing in her room like a spaz in her undies while eating her breakfast? I do that every morning, but I don't just restrict myself to my room. I turn my CD player up loudly (currently my morning wake up CD is Beyonce) and then I prance around the whole house. My parents have both left for work by the time I get up, so no one else is privy to my morning spazness.
Only this morning I didn't realise that we had a plumber fixing our kitchen sink. The look on my mum and the plumber's face was priceless, I would I have found it more amusing had I not been standing in a bra and undies infront of a complete stranger while singing Naughty Girl into my hairbrush.
