Game, set, match
Work is insane at the moment. INSANE. So much for the break we took down to Melbourne, I thought I'd be nice and relaxed now but I'm not.
Mark and I went down to Melbourne to catch some Australian Open Tennis action, and despite having to put up with him perving on 15 and 17 year old Russian tennis players with binoculars that JT brought along, I had a great time. After watching a couple of matches I came to the following conclusions:
1. Maria Sharapova's grunting is annoying. It's as if she has an orgasm after every point she wins.
2. Serena and Venus Williams are huge, huuuuuuge. I feel sorry for those newbies who have to play them, they're so intimating. And Serena shouldn't wear low cut jeans because tennis fans don't want to see her butt crack when she sits down to watch her sister play.
3. British fans are crazy. During a Tim Henman match the Barmy Army was in full swing, dressed in little white tennis skirts and wigs. It's good to see people getting into the spirit of things.
4. Female tennis players from Eastern Europe are gorgeous and talented. At least this new batch of young and incredibly pretty tennis players have talent and are focused on the game, as opposed to a certain blonde Russian player who never managed to win a tournament and who's more famous for her off court antics than her actual skill with a racquet.
5. Male tennis players should be allowed to play matches shirtless if it gets too hot. Instead of them sweating it out in shirts and having to change between sets, seeing their cut and chiselled bodies playing shirtless would be all kinds of rad. Such a waste to hide them underneath baggy clothing. I mean, who doesn't like seeing hot guys bodies glistening with sweat? And to overcome the whole sponsorship advertising loss of them no longer wearing branded shirts, it should be compulsory for them to wear branded caps, bandana's, headbands or whatever headgear they wish.
Definitely want to head down again next year, maybe I'll be able to see my shirtless rule in action.
And GO SAFIN! Woohoo! Glad to see my tennis star boyfriend making it into the final. I think I was one of the few who wanted him to whip Federer's ass.
Excuse me
I saw a girl on the way to work this morning with her skirt caught in her undies, and I wasn't sure if I should point it out to her or not. I figured she'd realise sooner or later so I didn't say anything to her - it was a short skirt anyway and she was leaving little to the imagination for those she walked past.
Is there etiquette for telling strangers if they're having a wardrobe malfunction?
Is it appropriate to tell someone that the tag in the shirt is hanging out? Or can you tell someone that their g-string is hanging out of their pants for everyone to see? Is it alright to tell someone that their fly in undone? Or will they think you're weird and perverted for looking down there and noticing that?
Even though it may cause some embarrassment, I think in the long run it would be better for that person because they'll be exposing themselves to less people and lessen the chance of someone sniggering at them.

Phantom of the Opera: The Movie
I suggest that if you thought the musical was average that you stay away from seeing the movie. I am a huge fan and I was having trouble staying awake during the movie, so I dread to think how much pain non-fans would be in. The movie stayed true to the musical in terms of scenes and such, but it lacked the wow factor that the stage production had.
And the guy cast as the Phantom was bloody annoying; I didn't like him much at all. The redeeming part of the movie was the female cast members, especially Christine. Wow, could Emmy Rossum be any more stunning? I'm sure the males in the audience liked her too, especially when she was wearing the lacy corset and thigh-high stockings.

p.s. I've removed the flash Christmas card so that 'Jingle Bell' rock would stop playing everytime you visit my page. Apologies for annoying any of you.

It's my parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary today, and it just spins me out that they've been together for that long. They also dated for 8 years before they got married, so all up they’ve been together for a bloody long time.
It's hard to imagine being in love with someone for so long.
What makes it even sweeter is the fact that they still act like a young couple in love, I don't think they ever got over the 'honeymoon' phase of their relationship. They still go on picnics, walks on the beach, romantic dinners, weekend getaways and I'm pretty sure that their sex life is alive and kicking (even though the thought of them getting it on completely and utterly grosses me out to the max).
They have the kind of love that lasts a lifetime, and I hope that they have another 25 years of love, happiness and joy.
I wonder if I'll be as lucky as them.

Happy New Year
Back to work today. Those 10 days went by too fast. I should have taken more time off. Can't wait til I go to Melbourne in a few weeks and have another couple of days off work.
I was welcomed back to work this morning with the news that our regional office lost one of our major accounts. This is not news that one wants to hear at the beginning of the working year, particularly when close colleagues in our Singapore office will more than likely be retrenched as the other agency will be picking up their work. Not sure how this will affect us on a local level, only time will tell. But that’s how the business is run, you win some, you loose some – and people get screwed over.
Anyway, 2005 is upon us now and as we get all reflective on the events of 2004 I can’t help but smile at my memories. Sure the world got pretty fucked up – wars, terrorists, natural disasters and many other horrid things. I get incredibly depressed and saddened by the futile loss of human life in such events, but on the flip side it only serves to highlight the fact that I have been blessed and fortunate to have experienced the things I have and makes me appreciate my life that much more. I love my family, my boyfriend, my friends and work is actually ok. 2004 was one of my best years ever, I did and saw so many things I’ve always wanted to do and I hope 2005 is just as kick ass.
