Weekend shiznit
Going out on a Sunday night and coming home around midnight does nothing for my productivity the next day, as I found out this morning. I can't seem to focus on any of my work and all I want to do is go home and crawl into bed. I'm one of those people who needs at least 8 hours sleep to function and my 6 hours sleep last night wasn't enough. Even after 2 strong coffees my brain is not working.
And I couldn't take a nap on the train this morning because I was disturbed by the amount of mould in the windows of the Tangara train. The window has two layers- the outer glass and the inner glass with a 1cm gap between them. I've noticed this mould before and I've always wondered how they clean it, or if they do? It's quite gross if you ask me. Icky.
My weekend was nice, started off with me having to rock up to work on Saturday at 9:30am, which wasn't fun, but afterwards Mark and I went to Bill's 2 for breakfast where I stuffed myself silly on their divine scrambled eggs, bacon and tomatoes. Mmmm...
Then we went off to the Lord of the Rings exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum since Mark had a buy one get one free voucher. The exhibition of things from the 3 movies was pretty good and it was cool seeing the costumes and props from the movies. But it was so crowded and full of little kids running around which was distracting when you were trying to geek it up and read the info that went with the items on display. They should introduce an 'Adults Only' session at museums, just like they have kids days, so you don't go insane trying to deal with kids screaming while you're trying to pay attention or prams that run over your feet while they try and push past you.
Last night we went to the Moonlight cinema and saw Alexander. And no, we didn't pick out movie by choice, we had complimentary tickets and the only time we could use them was last night and that was the movie we had to see. The movie wasn't that great but the redeeming part of the night was winning prizes in the Sony Ericsson marketing ploy competition where Mark won the Scene It interactive board game and I won a Sony Ericsson blanket, which came in very handy later when it got quite chilly.
The movie was pretty bad, not as pathetic as I thought it would be judging by the reviews I had read, with the story telling being all over the shop and the acting really poor. They cast the movie on looks as most of the guys in it were very pretty but sadly lacking in any talent. However Angelina Jolie was very phowar! in it in her toga and also the fight scenes were pretty good, even if they were a little graphic- seeing men's legs cut off by the spike things attached to the wheels of chariots and their bits go flying in the air was something I could have done without. But yes, it got so cold last night and freezing my ass off in Centennial Park watching a movie that could have been half it's length got a bit tedious towards the end but I like the romantic notion of sitting under the stars with your boy and snuggling. Hee.
Another candle
Happy 24th Birthday to me!

Fit to strip
Good to know I'm not the only one who likes dancing in my underwear when I'm home alone.
And also those Carmen Electra Fit to Strip DVD's are a cack. I watched some of disc 1 the other day at a friend's house. The scene where she's moving her hips side-to-side, with her ass sticking out and a finger in her mouth is priceless. You can tell she's a trained ballerina by the way she moves, while others would look skanky she looks very graceful and really, really hot!
